- What is green light law?The Driver's License Access and Privacy Act, commonly called the 'Green Light law', was enacted on June 17, 2019, and takes effect on December 16, 2019. It allows all New Yorkers age 16 and older to apply for a standard, not for federal purpose, non-commercial driver license or learner permit regardless of their citizenship or lawful status in the United States.

- What is Pre-licensing Course?It is a DMV-approved, standardized classroom course that provides knowledge you will need as a new driver. For more details please see: Pre-licensing Course
- Can I take Pre-licensing Course with interim permit?As of July.2018 DMV request, anyone taking the Pre-Licensing Course “…must present a current NY Photo Learner Permit or a valid interim permit with a NYS Government-issued ID card (such as a Non-Driver ID Card, Expired NY Photo Permit, and/or Expired NY Photo License) to the instructor at the pre-licensing course.”
- How soon can I take road test?When you complete the Pre-licensing Course, we could schedule your road test, normally that will take 6-8 weeks in queens (waiting time), the school offers express road test service, pre-licensing course completion certificate and valid learner permit are both required, please contact customer service for more information.
- Can I take driving lessons when I only have valid interim permit?Yes, you will be able to schedule your lessons with your instructor directly.
- Where is the pick up spot?We have three locations, for more detail information please call customer service to check.
- How long is one driving session？Each local driving session is 90 mins while we suggest you take 180 mins (two sessions) for one highway practice.
- Can I renew a learner permit?No, you can not renew a learner permit and you will have to retake a written test.
- Can I practice with foreign driver license?Yes, it must be valid.
- Can I use my own car to practice?No, we only use dual break cars to ensure safety.
- Can I choose road test site?We only serve Flushing and Elmhurst location.
- How long is the service term?All service is valid for one year, road test package service expires on the same date as Pre-licensing Course certificate.
- I have not received my license for long time since I already passed my road test?The reason may vary, we recommend you contact DMV for more details: 518-486-9786
